Cast off (Crack shots)
The clip we watched was “cast off crack shots” this clip shows disability as pity, because the character is blind. This allows the audience to feel sympathetic towards him, because he says he is scared of the dark.
We can see that he is vulnerable, because he has gun and when he hears sound he picks the gun and points it where he hears the sound. We can see the character is weak and has lack of autonomy, because he talks to himself. The character has lack of autonomy, because he has no control of what he cannot see.
The dialogue he uses is a metaphor, because he says if it's dark then he is scared, but all he can see is darkness. Because it's a reality T.V show it tries to show disabled people as “normal” even though there disabled.
The clip reprsents isolation as the character is alone in a deserted area.
